Japanese NGOs are Awarded Commendation from Japanese Ambassador Kitahara

Ambassador of Japan to Timor-Leste Iwao KITAHARA decided to commend the eight Japanese NGOs, which have been continuously contributed to the development of Timor-Leste and the friendship between Timor-Leste and Japan for more than ten years.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Popular Consultation in 1999 in Timor-Leste. These awarded NGOs have worked with Timorese people over the ten years to date and it is a great opportunity to praise their devoted work and to encourage them to continue to work with the people in Timor-Leste for a better future of this country and friendship between our countries.

The ceremony to commend these NGOs by Japanese Ambassador was held at the Ambassador’s residence on Friday, 23 October.

The NGOs commended are as follows.
