Official Visit by Dr. Shinichi KITAOKA, President of JICA

                                 


Dr. Shinichi KITAOKA made an official visit on Timor-Leste from 27 July until 29 July. During his visit, he has paid courtesy call on H. E. Dr. Francisco Guterres "Lu-Olo", President of Timor-Leste, H.E. Dr. Rui Maria de Araujo, Prime Minister,  and H.E. Mr. Taur Matan Ruak, Former President of Timor-Leste. He also attended high-level meetings with H.E. Dr. Ramos Horta, Former President, H.E.  Mr. Roberto Sarmento de Oliveira Soares, Vice Minister of Foregin Affairs and Cooperation, and H.E. Mr. Inacio Moreira, Vice Minister of Public Works, Transportation and Communication. In the course of his trip, he observed, the Faculity of Engieering at the National University of Timor Lorosae where Japan has supported as a part of joint efforts for building solid capacity of lectures and constructing its new building, and Radio Television Timor-Leste which accepted one Japan Oversea Cooepration Volunteer  as well.
