Japanese Speech Contest 2019
November 22nd, 2019 (Friday)
at Auditorium, UNTL

Guideline:
1. Speech

  •  Less than 4 minutes.
  •  Free topics (Candidates can choose own topic freely.)
  •  No group presentation allowed
  •  Memorize your speech and try to speak without notes (Speech with reading notes will effect on your evaluation)
  •  Q&A session after the presentation will also be evaluated

2. Qualifications
I. Beginner

  •  Less than 2-year Japanese learning experience
  •  Non-Japanese native speakers who reside in Timor-Leste
  •  Less than 2 years’ experience of stay in Japan
  •  All age

II. Intermediate

  •  More than 2-year Japanese learning experience
  •  Non-Japanese native speakers who reside in Timor-Leste
  •  Less than 2 years’ experience of stay in Japan
  •  All age

III. Advanced (Special speaker, not evaluated)

  •  More than 2 year experiences of staying in Japan
  •  Non-native Japanese speaker resides in Timor-Leste

3. Entry Procedure and Submission Deadline

Submit the followings to Embassy of Japan in Timor-Leste
 a. Entry form (Download)
 b. Speech manuscript in (Japanese)
 c. Speech manuscript Translation (English or Tetum)

* Note: Students should consult with own teachers before submitting the forms.
** Multiple entries are NOT allowed (Only 1 entry form from 1 person is allowed)

Submission Deadline: November 11, 2019 (Friday)
 
4. Assessment: (Pre-screening guideline for contest participation)

  •  All the requirements met
  •  Collect usage of Japanese
  •  Contents (including topic selection and story)

The Embassy will contact directly to the successful applicants by November 15.

5. Prize (TBC)

Beginners and Intermediates

  •  Ambassador of Japan to Timor-Leste Award
  •  UNTL Rector Award
  •  Honorable Mention

Advanced

  •  Special speaker Award
