Japanese Government Scholarship for 2018

(Undergraduate, College of Technology, Specialized Training College)  


 
The Embassy of Japan in Timor-Leste welcomes the applications from nationals of Timor-Leste who wish to study in Japan. All the necessary forms and application guideline can be downloaded from the link below. Alternatively, you can pick up at the Embassy of Japan (9:00am- 5:00pm during weekdays only ).

Closing Date: 5pm on Thursday 22 June 2017
(Only hard copy applications submitted to the Embassy of Japan will be accepted)
 
  • Only short-listed applicants will be contacted by 14 July 2017 for written exams.
  • Written examniations and interview: 4th week of July to 2nd week of August ( dates TBA)

Undergraduate Students

  • Applicants generally must have been born between 2  April 1996 and 1  April 2001.
  • Applicants must have completed a 12-year school curriculum (high school graduates)
  • The duration of the scholarship is five years including one-year Japanese language training course.

College of Technology Students

  • Applicants generally must have been born between 2 April 1996 and 1 April 2001.
  • Applicants must have completed a 12-year school curriculum (high school graduates)
  • The duration of the scholarship is four years including one-year Japanese language training course
  • The fields of study have to be one of the various fields of engineering.
 
 

Specialized Training College Students

  • Applicants generally must have been born between 2 April 1996 and 1 April 2001.
  • Applicants must have completed a 12-year school curriculum (high school graduates)
  • The duration of the scholarship is three years including one-year Japanese language training course
  • The fields of study have to be chosen from technology, personal care and nutrition, education and welfare, business and others. The main purpose of specialized training college is to teach vocational skills.
