 On Saturday, September 18, 2021, Japanese Reading Contest was held at Mirai-Sat, Tilomar in Suai with support of Embassy of Japan in Timor-Leste and Japan Foundation. The contestants compete on reading Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji of Japanese.

 Mr. Shusaku Hirashima, Deputy Head of Mission in Embassy of Japan, mentioned, "I hope participants will demonstrate the result of their Japanese studies, and they could be goodwill ambassadors to boost up our valuable friendship and ties between Timor-Leste and Japan."

 Other distinguished guests are Sr. Jose de Fatima Xavier, Tilomar Post Administrator, Mrs. Maria Fatima, Village Chief of Maudemo, Mr. Joao da Silva Jalo, Representative of Veterans from Tilomar Administrative Post, Mr. Marito dos Santos, PNTL Commander of Salele Esquadron, Mr. Shinichiro Monjo (MONJO VIDEO WORKS), Ms Yuka Shirakawa (Minchan-Travel), and Ms Manami Kuwahara (PARCIC) also participated as judges.

 We would like to express our congratulation to Mirai-Sat for the big success of the contest in Suai. In addition, we are grateful to Mr. Juliao Nunes, Director of Mirai-Sato and staff for their extraordinary works for organizing this event.
